the should work well. the only problem would probably be maintenence. every 7 or 8 months you would have to take the plants out, and thoughly cean in a sink. easy to detach and clan just make sure you read the directions.
it is suppost to work very well though, and grow herbs and fruit as well as have veggies or flowers with no problem
I have one and the lettuce is really tasty. I want to try the tomatoes next. The herbs really grow good but I don’t / didn’t use any of them. I don’t know of this having to clean as I only cleaned it when I was switching plants and it was clean so didn’t really need much cleaning.

~~It works great. Perfect for smaller veggies and for herbs. If you plant tomatoes pick a smaller variety that will not outgrow the unit.
