How do I save a water damaged Nokia 5300?
Ainz asked:
I dropped my Nokia 5300 in a bucket of water from my fishtank. The phone was under the water for less than 30 seconds, and the light was still on when I pulled the phone out. I immediately took apart the phone (I took the battery out, and the SIM card) and wiped it down completely, there was very very little water inside the phone, so I let it dry for about an hour and a half.
I then put my phone back together and powered it back on, which obviously was the wrong thing to do because the 2 and 0 buttons didn’t help, the mp3 player started automatically and wouldn’t stop, AND the phone was freezing.
Somebody please please help me. I have it submerged it a bowl of uncooked rice and sitting under my AeroGarden light (It has soft warmth) and I’m letting it sit there for a day. I really would like to know if my phone can be saved..

I have the same phone and did the exact same thing.
The truth is, I don’t think you can save it. I tried to do the same thing but nothing has worked.
If you have insurance, call your provider and they’ll replace it. The only bad thing is that there is a deductible.
Sorry.
