How versatile EXACTLY is the Aerogarden?
hulk h asked:
I have seen the Aerogarden advertised on the internet and I’m kinda interested in purchasing one. But I’m curious about one thing. I have noticed that you put special seed pods in but I want to know if you can use your own seeds, or if it is possible to adjust the seed pods yourself. Any help will be appreciated as I’m keen to get the harvest underway…. If you know what I mean.

I got the Aerogarden for Christmas. After looking at the seed pods, I figured out that you can re-use them with your own seeds. All you have to do is pull out the used sponge along with all of the roots of the plant from before. You can use either another piece of sponge or some other type of medium for growing. You can also make up your own nutrient solution using a very, very weak Miracle Grow solution.
Now, if you’re talking about growing what I think you’re talking about–you’re not going to have much in the way of height. If you prune regularly, though, you’ll get a much bushier plant.
once you have grown the initial crop, you can plant seeds of your choice in the pods
