I have an Aerogarden and in the past month 3 of the bulbs have blown and the fuse has gone. I have replaced the fuse and the bulbs but i am worried the bulbs may blow again ( they are expensive – about £10 each). Could the fuse that eventually blew be the problem? or is it a problem with the wiring in the house (although we have had no problems with anything else).
Also.. The aerogarden came with a 3amp fuse in, i heard putting a 5amp fuse in may stop the bulbs blowing?! Or maybe adding a circuit breaker?

you can upgrade the fuse but any product you buy has a rated fuse this is designed with you in mind . if you have a long run of cable this can create part of the problem, you may have dirty connections the winter can damage electrical connections. the use of a proper test meter would give you some answers. check all your connections seal them after try fitting a substitute lamp Cheap one before fitting your 10-00 lamps also there are possibly cheaper and more durable lamps on the market. best advice pop in electrical wholesalers and ask
I would imagine it`s more like you have a problem with the wiring within the Aerogarden itself than the wiring in your house.
Is it under warranty still, can you get it checked out by the manufacturers?
The thing with the fuse is that if a 3amp fuse is recommended it could be dangerous to put a higher rating fuse in. The fuse is doing its job by protecting the appliance (in this case the Aerogarden) from further damage. So, no, the fuse isn`t likely to be the problem.
